Chris
Pavlides is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of the Greater Philadelphia
Senior Executive Group, Inc. a non-profit 501(c) 6 PA corporation.
GPSEG is the largest and most prominent C-level executive
networking organization in the tri-state region with a very
influential board of advisors.
Concurrently,
Chris is the Executive Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Institute (IEI) (http://www.sbm.temple.edu/IEI/)
of the Fox School of Business and Management of Temple University.
IEI emphasizes integrated, hands-on learning, bringing together
students, entrepreneurs, faculty, and business advisors from
diverse backgrounds to work on real-time projects, sponsors
business plan competitions and incubates promising entrepreneurial
ventures. Chris brings more than 25 years of diversified industry
experience as a senior financial, business development and
general management executive, having worked in both Fortune
100 and small company entrepreneurial environments
Chris’ previous position was COO & CFO of Edison,
NJ-based StrikeForce Technologies Inc, an identity authentication
software company. Earlier, he was CFO of a VC-backed, high
tech start up, Electron Direct LLC, in Wilmington, DE, which
closed down early 2002. Before that, Chris was Head of the
Global Business Development - Finance Group of Houston, TX
-based Conoco Inc, a multinational oil & gas company.
There, he led a large team of professionals in developing,
structuring and coordinating implementation of worldwide creative
financial solutions to business development needs, including
acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances. Earlier,
he was Managing Director of Global Syndications for AT&T
Capital Corp., VP - Investment Banking/Corporate Finance for
Kidder Peabody & Co. (GE), and VP - Corporate Banking
for Chase Manhattan Bank.
Chris has a BA in Economics and MBA in Finance and International
Business. He is a member of the Academic Outreach Board for
the Greater Philadelphia Venture Group and the National Consortium
of Entrepreneurship Center Directors. He is also member of
the boards of directors of several non-profit institutions
including among others the Entrepreneurship Forum of Greater
Philadelphia, the Enterprise Center (West Philadelphia), the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Delaware Valley, Chester County
Community Foundation, West Chester University Institute for
Excellence in Education and Entrepreneurship.
