Not surprisingly,
The Philadelphia 100 is generating a high level of interest
among sponsors and potential sponsors. For the third year
in a row, Reed Smith is stepping up to be the Gold Sponsor.
“The Philadelphia
100 is the place to meet the ‘Next Generation of Movers
and Shakers’ in the business community. It is the perfect
opportunity to build relationships at an event that recognizes
and rewards the best the Philadelphia region has to offer,”
says Maryellen Feehery Hank, Partner at Reed Smith.
Reed Smith will
joined by Sabre Systems, CBIZ, Flaster Greenberg, Stream Marketing
and Republic First as bronze level sponsors as well as Growth
Dynamics which is the program book producer. Additional sponsors
are expected.
The Philadelphia
100 recognizes the region’s fastest growing companies
in the Greater Philadelphia region. It is a joint project
led by the Entrepreneurs’ Forum of Greater Philadelphia,
the Philadelphia Business Journal and the Wharton Small Business
Development Center and is a registered trademark.
The Philadelphia
100 gala event is one of premier business events. Last year,
sponsors and friends of the Philadelphia 100 gained access
to over 750 people and 100 of the fastest growing businesses
in the region. These companies boasted an average growth rate
of 283%, accounted for over $750 million in aggregate revenues,
and created over 2000 new jobs since 2002.
The 2006 Philadelphia
100 marks the 18th year of this program. The gala event will
be held on October 24 at the Sheraton - Center City (formerly
known as Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel). This year’s
keynote speaker will be Carol Ammon of Endo Pharmaceuticals.
“There’s
a lot of excitement over this year’s event” notes
Mark Heil, Executive Director. “We have a core group
of sponsors that have been with us for years, and this year
we have a number of new sponsors. The sponsors particularly
enjoy the CEO breakfast where they get to network with this
year’s winners before the gala event in October.”
There are two tiers
of participation available: Sponsors and Friends. There are
four levels of sponsorship: Gold, Silver, Hall of Fame and
Bronze. All sponsors participate in the marketing campaign,
receive the Philadelphia 100 list 60 days in advance, and
have two opportunities to network with the Philadelphia 100
CEOs. The marketing campaign will touch over 100,000 people
through ads in the Philadelphia 100 and promotions through
the Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia and outreach
by the Wharton Small Business Development Center. There are
three levels of participation at the Friends tier: program
book publisher, display table and dinner table. There are
a limited number of display tables available.
The Philadelphia
100 has a rich 18 year history. It has recognized some the
region's most notable companies, including Motherworks, Sabre
Systems, Primavera Systems, Kremer Laser Eye Surgery and Fiberlink.
There are 43 companies and CEOs that have been inducted into
the Philadelphia 100 Hall of Fame. Some of the region's leading
entrepreneurs and esteemed dignitaries have acted as keynote
speakers at our annual gala event (Ed Rendell, Brian Tierney,
Michael Emmi, Thomas Gravina, Steven Lagos).
